I had the chance to explore both nature and culture during my trip. Although I couldn’t cover all of West Sumatra due to time constraints, I still could appreciate all its beauty. From the emerald waters of Lake Maninjau, to the traditional villages in Minangkabau, there’s something special about these places that make them so unique! Moreover, I found out about interesting local customs and cuisine; people were very welcoming and hospitable even though we barely spoke each other’s language.

Furthermore, what made this journey special was the great hospitality of the locals! Everywhere we went they showed us how warm-hearted they are by offering us food or helping us out when needed. Overall, their friendliness added more colour to our journey making it unforgettable!
